TechEd North America 2012
I was given the opportunity to attend Microsoft’s TechEd North America 2012 event this year held in Orlando, Florida. For those of you who don’t know, TechEd is Microsoft’s premier annual event showcasing their current and soon-to-be-released products, solutions, tools, and services.
The bulk of the conference was held from June 11 – June 14 with a large number of learning sessions provided by Microsoft experts on a variety of topics involving the latest Microsoft technologies and software. During TechEd you can also do hands-on labs as well as work toward Microsoft certifications with discounted test pricing. If that’s not enough, there is also the TechExpo that features demos and displays from numerous Microsoft partners and product teams.
This year saw thousands in attendance with the main topics revolving around Windows Server 2012, SQL Server 2012, Cloud technologies, Hyper-V, Visual Studio 2012 and .Net 4.5, and Microsoft Azure. If you are an IT professional or developer interested in Microsoft technologies this is surely an event that you will want to attend at least once in your career.
It was a great learning opportunity and experience for me. If you were unable to attend, most of the learning sessions were recorded and are available online at Channel 9. You can also find additional information on the TechEd North America website.
